New US distributors for marine gearboxes

Newage Transmissions Ltd has signalled a major push into the North American market by appointing two further distributors for its world-renowned PRM marine gearbox range.

Coventry-based mechanical driveline equipment specialist, Newage Transmissions Ltd has signalled a major push into the north American market by appointing two further distributors for its world-renowned PRM marine gearbox range.

Hamilton Jet of Seattle and Transmission Marine of Fort Lauderdale join Newage's existing US distributor, Atlantis Marine of Boston, Massachusetts, to provide coast-to-coast sales and service for PRM units across the United States.

"We are delighted to be extending our international distributor network through these new appointments," says Newage's Technical Director, Clive Rayner, "especially as we believe the US offers extremely good potential for our marine transmissions range.

"Not only is there consistent, high volume demand from the fishing and workboat sectors, but the American pleasure craft market is also expanding rapidly.

Newage has established itself as the dominant supplier of gearboxes for Britain's inland waterway craft.

We therefore believe that our products' proven reliability, durability and performance will underpin a significant increase in sales of PRM transmissions throughout the all-important north American market." .
