A second order for almost 100 marine transmissions from a customer in Athens underlines Newage Transmission's rapid expansion in the European pleasure and light commercial marine sector during the past 10 months Bringing the total of PRM 80 and 150 gearboxes purchased this year by the Greek company to 180, the latest order reflects the Coventry-built units' ability to meet the needs of this highly competitive market

Earlier in the year, the company launched its high efficiency PRM 1500 and PRM 80 models at the International Marine Equipment Show in Singapore.
It will also support its recently-expanded US-based distributor network with major presentations at the forthcoming Fort Lauderdale Marine Show, Seattle Fishing Exhibition and New Orleans Workboat Show.
In addition, Newage will again be participating at Europe's premier marine equipment show, METS, to be held at Amsterdam in November.
"Having established ourselves as the dominant supplier of gearboxes for Britain's inland waterway craft, we are now looking to repeat that success world-wide," explains Newage's Jamie Pratt.
