Newage Transmissions is shifting its overseas marine gearbox sales into overdrive through the company's participation at the forthcoming New Orleans Workboat Show

Newage Transmissions is shifting its overseas marine gearbox sales into overdrive through the company's participation at the forthcoming New Orleans Workboat Show, which takes place between 28th-30th November The mechanical driveline firm's presentation at the event - one of the most important on the US marine industry's calendar - will include examples of its PRM 80, PRM 120, PRM 500 and PRM 1500 high efficiency marine transmissions

"During the past 12 months, we have seen increasing demand from our US distributors, which can be attributed to the workboat sector, as well as considerable growth in the country's pleasure craft market," says Newage's Marine Sales Manager, Ian Oliver.

"We therefore believe North America offers major potential for us.

The New Orleans Show not only underlines our commitment to existing distributors and agents, but also enables us to actively seek ways of expanding our North American sales and support network." "PRM marine transmissions are already specified for the vast majority of the UK's inland waterways craft," he adds.

"Their reputation for durability, reliability and performance - backed by first class local support - means we are in an extremely strong position to take advantage of the opportunities offered by this important market." PRM 80 and 120 mechanical transmissions are suitable for sail boat applications from 10 to 50 hp.

In parallel, PRM hydraulically operated gearboxes feature a high efficiency, twin countershaft design, which makes them ideal for pleasure and workboat application with engines up to 500 hp.

All units carry Lloyd's approval ratings and are covered by a full two year warranty.

They also feature simple operation, fast response, and can be supplied with a wide range of ancillary equipment, including power take-offs and trolling valves.
