Newage PRM 80 and 120 marine gearboxes have been selected by Beta Marine as the preferred option for use with its range of diesel engines for pleasure boat and inland waterway craft applications

Newage PRM 80 and 120 marine gearboxes have been selected by Gloucestershire marine equipment specialist, Beta Marine as the preferred option for use with its range of diesel engines for pleasure boat and inland waterway craft applications.

Up to 700 of the Coventry-built units will be supplied annually by Newage to the Stroud-based company, one of the country's leading marine power equipment suppliers.

"Beta Marine has earned an enviable reputation for quality, durability and reliability, founded on the performance of its well-known engine range," says Newage's Marine Sales Manager, Ian Oliver.

"These are precisely the same attributes that have made PRM units the most specified gearboxes for Britain's inland waterways craft.

The endorsement of our products as first choice transmissions for Beta Marine engines means that owners of small pleasure and sailing craft can be assured of receiving 'best of breed' driveline solutions to meet their requirements.

"We have established a close working relationship with Beta over many years," he continues, "so are excited at the prospect of building on this foundation to achieve further success for our two companies in the future.".
