The stringent performance and durability demanded by this market are reflected in the rugged construction of the unit, which has been has been designed and engineered exclusively by the company's in-house product development team.
"The 915 has generated a great deal of interest since we unveiled a prototype at the BAUMA International Construction Industry Exhibition in Munich," says Newage's Sales and Marketing Director, Miles Johnson.
"The axle complements other members of our updated driveline solutions range, by extending its scope to include 10 tonne vehicles.
"Several leading UK and overseas vehicle manufacturers have already signalled their intention to purchase the new model.
As a result, we have been working hard to bring it into production as quickly as possible." "Development units have undergone exhaustive rig tests," adds Technical Director, Clive Rayner.
"In addition, a programme of vehicle trials has been completed successfully at the MIRA test facility near Nuneaton; confirming the axle's capabilities under the most severe operating conditions." With an overall reduction ratio of 15.8:1 as standard, 915 series units feature a compact modular layout that provides simple installation and high in-vehicle accessibility.
The new axle incorporates planetary gearing within the central casing to permit the use of small diameter road wheel rims; and powerful self-adjusting oil-immersed brakes for low maintenance and extended service life.
An integral parking brake option is also available to customer order.
