Newage Transmissions has strengthened its UK marine sales network with the appointment of Albatross Marine as an authorised distributor for its PRM product range.

Coventry driveline equipment specialist, Newage Transmissions has strengthened its UK marine sales network with the appointment of Albatross Marine as an authorised distributor for its PRM product range.

Based in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, Albatross Marine draws on the unrivalled product knowledge amassed by its Managing Director, Ian Oliver during more than 25 years continuous service with Newage before the establishment of his new company.

Albatross is authorised to provide the full range of sales and repair services for PRM products to inland waterways customers in the North of England, as well as to coastal users in the North East, West of England and Wales.

"Since appointment, Albatross has heavily promoted our products through advertising and participation at the Inland Waterways Show, Fishing 2003 and the Seawork Exhibitions", says Newage's Marine Sales Manager, Jamie Pratt.

"This has been rewarded by consistent sales growth, which has already established Albatross as one of our best-performing business partners".

"PRM gearboxes enjoy an enviable reputation for durability, reliability and in-service performance", comments Oliver.

"With over 75% market share, they are the units of choice for the overwhelming majority of Britain's inland waterway craft".

"Our aim is to back the quality of Newage products with excellent customer service and support.

I am therefore delighted to be continuing my long association with the company, which I am confident will pave the way for further business growth over the coming months".

"Albatross Marine joins Calcutt Boats of Rugby, DDZ Marine in Scotland, Ireland-based TM Marine, Lancing Marine and Mermaid Marine on the South Coast and AR Peachment in Norfolk to bring our marine distributor network up to full strength", adds Jamie Pratt.

"Sales of PRM marine equipment have significantly increased during the past year", notes Product Support Manager, Rob Plant.

"In parallel, we are planning further expansion of our UK service network to ensure that customers continue to receive the highest levels of post-sales support.

I therefore expect to be announcing the appointment of further new authorised dealerships in the near future".
