Mechanical driveline equipment firm Newage Transmissions has appointed Drivetrain Marine as its exclusive distributor for PRM marine equipment in New Zealand.

Mechanical driveline equipment firm Newage Transmissions has appointed Drivetrain Marine as its exclusive distributor for PRM marine equipment in New Zealand.

The agreement extends Drivetrain's existing distributorship for Australia, which has seen the Sydney-based organisation treble PRM sales in the country in three years.

According to Drivetrain's Marketing and Sales Manager Frank Gili: "PRM sales have exceeded all our expectations during the past 12 months".

"We anticipate continued double digit growth in the coming year and are convinced that our exclusive rights to market PRM equipment in New Zealand will only accelerate this trend".

Newage's Marine Equipment Sales Manager, Jamie Pratt, said: "Drivetrain has branches in every Australian state and backs the performance and reliability of our gear boxes with extensive stocks of genuine parts, technical support, repairs and a service exchange programme".

Most of Drivetrain's PRM sales have been in the pleasure boat market but interest in high capability units for workboat applications is increasing.
