Mains flex stays flexible in the cold
A new Arctic Grade PVC mains flex stays flexible at temperatures down to -20C.
Nexans has extended its wide range of building cables with the launch of a new Arctic Grade PVC mains flex that stays flexible at temperatures down to -20C The new Arctic Grade PVC flex, manufactured to BS6500, is designed for installations where mains powered equipment needs to remain operational at extreme temperatures
It is ideal for outdoor applications and where flexibility is required at subzero temperatures.
Nexans' Arctic Grade PVC mains flex is rated for use with voltages from 300 to 500V and is suitable for use in temperatures from -20 to +70C.
It features three flexible Class 5 copper conductor cores to BS6360, each identified by arctic grade insulation in brown, blue and green/yellow, and an arctic grade PVC outer-sheath in a choice of blue or yellow.
Nexans' Arctic Grade PVC mains flex is available with a choice of three core sizes: 1.5, 2.5 and 4mm2.
