A NEBOSH product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Dec 5, 2006

The Rt Hon Patricia Hewitt signs in at the official opening of the new building.

The Secretary of State for Health, the Right Honourable Patricia Hewitt, MP has opened NEBOSH's new headquarters in Leicester.

NEBOSH's chief executive, Teresa Budworth comments: "With the increasing demand for our qualifications both in the UK and around the world, we simply out grew our old building.

"Fortunately we were able to purchase larger premises literally next door.

"This means that the address and telephone number remain the same, which minimises the disruption for our customers.

"In 2005 over 21,000 candidates entered NEBOSH examinations and over 100,000 people worldwide hold a NEBOSH General Certificate in Safety and Health".

Patricia Hewitt says: "NEBOSH does important work, clearly making a contribution to health and well being in the workplace".

Mrs Hewitt met with NEBOSH directors and staff and was very interested in the occupational health aspects of NEBOSH syllabuses.
