NEBOSH gains ISO9001.

NEBOSH successfully achieved ISO 9001:2000 registration in October 2006 following a rigorous two-day audit of processes and procedures by the British Standards Institution (BSI).

NEBOSH successfully achieved ISO 9001:2000 registration in October 2006 following a rigorous two-day audit of processes and procedures by the British Standards Institution (BSI).

In gaining certification NEBOSH has demonstrated that all levels of staff not only operate to strict regulatory and quality standards but are also committed to continually improving the level of service they provide.

In his Pre-Audit Review report, BSI auditor Richard North comments: "It is clear that a great deal of effort has been applied to the implementation of the Quality Management System and everyone involved is to be congratulated." As a BSI QA registered organisation to BS EN ISO 9001:2000, NEBOSH may now display both BSI and UKAS logos on material relevant to its accredited activity: "The provision of accredited and recognised health, safety, environmental and risk management qualifications".

The United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) mark indicates that BSI's certification has been assessed against international standards by the sole national accreditation body recognised by the UK government.

International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards are becoming key benchmarks by which organisations are measured and achievement of ISO 9001:2000 registration is intended to give NEBOSH customers and stakeholders confidence that they are dealing with an organisation committed to excellence.

Recognised in over 150 countries, ISO 9001:2000 certification will be invaluable as part of NEBOSH's ongoing expansion into the international market.
