The guide to the new unitised National General Certificate is now available for download from the Course Providers section of the NEBOSH website.

Sarah Mace, NEBOSH customer service manager explains: "The unitised Certificate offers significant benefits to Course Providers".

"From December 2006, Course Providers can opt to offer each of the two taught units of the National General Certificate separately".

"giving greater flexibility".

She continues, "Students will get a certificate for each unit they pass, and can choose to add additional units to achieve new qualifications".

"This also gives Course Providers the opportunity to go back to previous students with a new course offering".

The NEBOSH Fire and Risk Management Certificate is already in a unitised structure.

The Construction Certificate is to be unitised during 2007.
