Northern Precision is on course to ship 50 million product items this year, compared with 44 million last year.

Steve Smith, Sales Director at the Doncaster-based company, says that the company's wide range of self-clinching fasteners consistently prove the most popular and this year will account for around 70% of sales.

These fasteners have varied applications in thin aluminium, stainless steel and steel panels.

The range includes flush head clinch studs, clinch nuts, high torque clinch studs, blind and through hole clinch stand-offs, panel fasteners and quick-release standoffs.

Smith also points out that exports continue to grow and, overall, are forecast to record an increase of 40% by the year end.

Among the many reasons he quotes for such continual high levels of business are the company's continual improvements in lead time and next-day delivery performance, its "price down" philosophies, and its readily available applications engineering expertise.
