Brochure brings fasteners together
A comprehensive 32-page brochure is now available from Northern Precision, the specialist single-source supplier of fasteners, as well as special-purpose turned and cold formed parts.
Fasteners buck the trend and drop in price
Despite recent severe rises in raw material costs, Northern Precision is actually reducing prices to customers.
In addition, the new catalogue contains a wealth of technical diagrams, photographs and application guides for each product series in addition to part number guidelines for easy ordering.
Most are available for next-day delivery.
The European Union's Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive controls the use of specified hazardous substances in electronic and electrical equipment and vehicles.
The materials specified are lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium and certain flame retardants used in plastics.
As a producer and supplier of fasteners for use throughout the sheet metal fabrication and electronics industries Northern Precision is, says Sales Director Steve Smith, committed to RoHS compliancy and fully supports customers' compliance.
Some turned components supplied by Northern Precision may contain lead as an alloying agent, specifically parts manufactured from EN1a Pb leaded steel (230M07 Pb).
However, these fall within the Directive guidelines by containing no more than 0.35% lead by weight.
Detailed product specifications in the new brochure cover each available fastener type: self-clinching, high-strength and broaching fasteners; rivet bushes; sheet nuts; weld nuts, studs and spade tags; cage nuts and blind rivets.
The installation guides and tooling sections embrace, for example, the Prima Inserter installation press as well as the Rivedrill and Nutdrill attachments.
These convert cordless and electric drills into a blind rivet or sheet nut placement tool at low cost.
The catalogue also shows the direct links to the Northern Precision website for the specific data required.
