Norgren has secured a major contract with Europe's leading manufacturer of petrol and liquefied petroleum gas pump dispensers to deliver process valves for LPG pumps

Norgren, Europe's largest manufacturer of pneumatic and process control systems and equipment, has secured a major contract with Europe's leading manufacturer of petrol and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) pump dispensers to deliver process valves for LPG pumps.

Norgren won the contract from Tokheim UK with its initial ability to deliver a high quantity of specialised valves at very short notice.

An initial order for 50 valves was met within five days, while some of Norgren's competitors quoted five to six weeks.

The contract underscores Norgren's ability to service the process sector as well as its traditional pneumatics market.

"Norgren's engineers proved able to deliver exactly what we needed when we needed it.

They went the extra mile to accommodate any special requirements we had like reducing the measurements of the valves to fit the LPG pumps", said Mike Melnyk, Tokheim's Engineering Manager.

In addition the Norgren valves had a much higher pressure rating at 25 bar than other suppliers' products at 16 bar.

The 25 bar pressure rating has since become the minimum pressure recognised as the industry standard, giving Norgren a distinct advantage.

The 2/2 valve is indirectly operated in design, from 0.5 to 25 bar.

It features a NPT 3/4 connection with Viton seal and is EEx me II T3 for zone 1 classification.
