New grippers from Norgren
A new range of grippers with a guaranteed life expectancy, and with the option of field repair, has been launched by pneumatics expert Norgren.
The company estimates the new changes will encourage even more customers to use the service.
Changes include specific services designed to make ordering at the webstore even faster include a fast track login for existing users, a multi-line quickbasket capable of containing up to 10 items at a time and an automatic price and availability check.
In addition, more server power, new page designs for faster loading and use of advanced software all help to speed up the process.
Webstore customer Mark McKeever of Drenagh Sawmills, Belfast said: "I purchase much of my business equipment online and have seen many sites that claim to meet my e-commerce needs.
Most of these are not customer friendly and are difficult to navigate, but Norgren's Webstore is a notable exception.
It is well designed, easy to use and reliable" Both list and net prices are now shown, stocked products are highlighted, a running total is provided for the on screen basket and customers can access 24 hour online technical support direct from the Webstore.
Personal touches such as the new address book facility, which allows distributors and resellers the option of having an order delivered direct to the end user by simply choosing its address from their personal address book, give customers more control.
New options for saving orders, enabling customers to pop in and out of the Webstore while they are placing their order, and the option of running multiple accounts from one e-mail address cuts out the need for multiple passwords and log-in procedures.
The introduction of a buyer hierarchy and the ability to print draft orders for internal approval allows purchasing managers to spread the load.
Engineers benefit from additional technical resources including technical summaries and full data sheets in pdf format on all catalogue products.
Norgren's UK marketing manager, Richard Pell, said: "Feedback from our customers about the Webstore has surpassed our expectations and we are confident that they will enjoy the 'new improved' version even more.".
