New grippers from Norgren
A new range of grippers with a guaranteed life expectancy, and with the option of field repair, has been launched by pneumatics expert Norgren.
Offering fast assembly with no special tools, Pneufit has been designed for the connection of tubes to pneumatic components.
Suitable for use in a wide variety of industrial applications the range is designed for customers who are looking to achieve competitive advantage by purchasing economically priced parts and are looking to capitalise on the cost savings that can be made through rapid assembly.
Having been expanded from 300 to 1200 different variants the Pneufit C series is available in over 40 different shapes covering tube sizes from 4 to 16mm and 0.15625 to 0.5in.
The Pneufit C is available with metric, ISO R, ISO G, UNF and NPT threads.
With the capability to grip polyurethane and nylon tube the components feature recessed captive O-rings on parallel threads and pre-applied thread sealant on all taper threads for optimum rapid sealing.
The all-new Pneufit M has been specifically developed for industries where OEMs find that space is at a premium and seek miniature solutions to give them an engineering advantage.
One typical example of an application that requires miniature solutions is within the semiconductor/electronics industry.
With tube sizes of 3, 4 or 6mm threads include M3 up to 0.125in ISO R.
Inch tubes include 0.125, 0.15625 and 0.25in with threads from 10-32 UNF up to and 0.125in NPT.
"With the expansion of the Pneufit line of push in fittings we can now offer a very comprehensive range to customers", stated Tim Perry Norgren's Product Marketing Director fittings.
"In a business environment where cost savings by whatever means are continually being sought, Norgren is ideally placed to offer a one stop shop for fittings at very competitive prices to compliment our full range of motion and fluid control solutions".
