Kloehn specialises in developing customised solutions and integrated fluidic platforms for analytical, diagnostic and medical OEMs

Kloehn, based in Las Vegas, USA, has been acquired by Norgren's parent company IMI, the major international engineering group.

Kloehn specialises in developing customised solutions and integrated fluidic platforms (IFPs) for analytical, diagnostic and medical OEMs, and is a particularly strong brand in the life sciences market.

An extensive product range includes high-quality syringes and pumps, needles and probes, ceramic, shear and solenoid valves, valve drive modules, specialised fittings and tubing assemblies.

Kloehn is able to meet most OEM liquid handling requirements.

As part of Norgren's focus on fluid controls - alongside other established life science brands such as FAS and KIP - Kloehn's market expertise will complement existing miniature solenoid valve, pressure regulator, media isolation valve and proportional technologies, as well as Norgren's system capabilities including manifolds in acrylic and other high-grade polymers.

Both companies share a common vision of creating competitive advantage for OEMs.

Customers will gain a range of precision technologies for liquid handling and gas control, supported by expert market knowledge for enhanced fluid control performance.

The collaborative development of customised system solutions also reduces complexity and total cost of ownership for the OEM.

Kloehn employs 160 people including dedicated key account managers and twenty engineers.

The production facility includes GMP compliant assembly areas, Class 10,000 clean rooms, and all the document and control procedures for regulated equipment.

The company has a commitment to quality and 100% on-time delivery.

Mike Marshall, the General Manager of Kloehn said: "I'm delighted that Kloehn is now part of Norgren".

"There's a natural fit between our two organisations - so this is a great move both for Kloehn customers and our own people".

"Norgren's strong commitment to investment, to our valued employees, and their drive for continued growth were all key factors in our decision".

"Coming together will strengthen our combined ability to provide the most solutions, utilising new technologies in fluid handling".

"It will also enhance our customer reach, with truly global support".

Andy Levien, President of Norgren's Fluid Controls business commented: "Kloehn has built an excellent reputation as a supplier of custom engineered fluidic solutions".

"There is an excellent fit between Kloehn and our Life Sciences team's technologies and capabilities".

"This will create a powerful partnership which brings many additional advantages to our current and future customers".
