Nobel Systems announces the availability of a new digital signal conditioning unit designed for the calibration of force and hardness testing machines.

A development of Nobel's excellent E-I-TAD weighing and batching system, the E-2-TAD FTS can be used with Force Transfer Standard (FTS) load cells and force measurements for BS1610 calibrations.

An FTS system is used to calibrate tensile or compressive testing machines.

Nobel saw the need for, and developed, the E-2-TAD FTS to calibrate these machines which have force measuring systems built into them.

The machines need calibration, both on commissioning and at regular intervals thereafter to ensure accuracy, stability and traceability.

The E-2-TAD FTS, which takes the place of a high resolution DVM and power supply, can offer the ultimate in accuracy with full computer communication capabilities from its microprocessor-base.

Resolution of up to 1 part in 500,000 is available for use with transducers with outputs from 0.5 to 5.0mV/V.

The unit will measure in mV/V or engineering units with six point linearisation to allow for curve fitting.

The E-2-TAD FTS is supplied with a NAMAS calibration certificate.

This defines its accuracy and ensures that it can be used with any suitable calibrated load cell.

The instrumentation is used in many countries around the world as a reference standard.
