Instruments cover all installations
Advanced process control instruments are available in four versions - DIN rail, panel, desktop and harsh-environment - providing easy installation in any type of environment.
It is designed for web tension applications where downtime, undetected errors, and limited precision cannot be tolerated.
The Instrument comprises individually digitised inputs to measure forces in four web tension zones and can provide total, individual and difference 4-20mA or 0-10V output control feedback signals.
100% digital calibration ensures there is no time consuming dead weight loading and no strapping, while online diagnostics significantly reduce downtime.
There is dynamic digital filtering for each tension zone.
When used with the unique HTU biaxial tension transducer, the DXp-40 can measure both horizontal and vertical tension vectors.
Based on both measurements, software algorithms calculate the precise, resultant force vector and exact linear tension component.
DXp-40 tension transmitters measure up to four independent web points, or zones, to ensure maximum operating speeds without belt, felt, or product breakage.
Each zone is precisely measured with 750,000-count resolution and produces a corresponding, high resolution, 4-20mA output.
Total, individual, and differential outputs from two load cell transducers permit a comparison of tension signals on either side of a sheet, strip, or web.
With four integral operating modes, DXp-40 transmitters offer wide operating flexibility and easy installation.
The mode that matches the particular application is simply selected and then the transducer zero and span values entered before system operation can begin.
DXp-40 units provide designers with a wide range of communication and network options.
Available digital interfaces include Allen-Bradley remote I/O, Modbus RTU, and conventional ASCII.
The DXp-40 is housed in a Nema 4 or 4X enclosure and carries FM/CSA Approvals for Division 2 hazardous locations. Request a free brochure from Vishay Nobel ...
