Vishay Intertechnology has announced the availability of Vishay Nobel P9420-800 series pressure transmitters.

Vishay Intertechnology has announced the availability of Vishay Nobel P9420-800 series pressure transmitters.

A further development in the range of hammer-lug union fittings for the offshore oil industry, the P9420-800 series pressure transmitters are an extension of the P9420 series with fused ceramic sensors that provide high shock and vibration immunity, said the company.

All ranges of the transmitters are built within a male sub-casing, offering optional secondary containment of pressure up to the proof rating of the union assembly.

The P9420-800 transmitters are available with a two-year warranty and variety of connector options to suit the application requirement.

Construction is of ultra-rugged stainless steel added Vishay.

The transmitters range up to 15,000psi (0 - 1,000 bar) and the secondary-containment option is up to 22,500psi.

Combined error, non-linearity, hysteresis and repeatability accuracy is claimed to be better than 0.25 per cent FSO, while stability is better than 0.1 per cent FSO per year.

Output is 4-mA to 20-mA, two-wire.

The transmitters have ATEX and are also tested to IEC 68 Test Ea100g/6ms, 3 axes and Test Fc 10-800Hz, 5g, 3 axes for shock and vibration.

They conform to IP68 BS5490:1977 and IEC 529:1976 and are tested to IEC 801-3 Parts 2,3,4 and 6 EN 50082-2 for RFI/EMC immunity.
