Where tighter tolerances are needed however rigid polyurethane can be machined using standard precision CNC machines.

An unusual application was where hundreds of holes of differing sizes, appearing as random, but artistically positioned were economically machined into a speaker grill for leading audio equipment manufacturer.

The benefits of manufacture in polyurethane come without the loss of the commercial advantage of plastic, with low cost tooling made quickly and capable of considerable life duty and parts machined on standard equipment.
