Rigid polyurethane moulding down to 1mm
thick
Techniques at Norse Precision Castings for moulding rigid polyurethane can produce wall thickness from 1 to 30mm with tolerances as low as +/-0.3mm.
Techniques at Norse Precision Castings for moulding rigid polyurethane can produce wall thickness from 1 to 30mm with tolerances as low as +/-0.3mm Where tighter tolerances are needed however rigid polyurethane can be machined using standard precision CNC machines
An unusual application was where hundreds of holes of differing sizes, appearing as random, but artistically positioned were economically machined into a speaker grill for leading audio equipment manufacturer.
The benefits of manufacture in polyurethane come without the loss of the commercial advantage of plastic, with low cost tooling made quickly and capable of considerable life duty and parts machined on standard equipment.
