Recent problems of casting some very accurate panels, designed for aesthetic improvements to complex video/cinematic control consoles have been overcome by Norse Precision Castings of Bedford.

Recent problems of casting some very accurate panels, designed for aesthetic improvements to complex video/cinematic control consoles have been overcome by Norse Precision Castings of Bedford.

Especially as the quantities were not high and although many panels had similarities, most were different, sand casting in aluminium and finishing in suede finish (Nextel) paint proved the most artistically effective yet economical option.

The panels fit snugly against the mounted components with minimum gap (hence very tight tolerance).

However, some have thin staves between mountings which as cast can distort.

Special casting controls and post-casting methods overcame the problems to produce some very attractive matching fascias.

Quality control and processes at Norse Precision Castings also ensure accurate repeatability.
