Cost-effective yet reliable in-house testing and calibration of all types of torque wrench from 2 to 1500 N.m is now possible with the Professional Torque Tester (Pro-Test) from Norbar Torque Tools.
The Pro-Test is a sophisticated yet easy to operate instrument for testing and calibrating torque tools.
It is priced to make in-house testing a viable alternative to regular third-party calibration for even small industrial and automotive users.
Offering accuracy of +/- 0.5% over the primary calibration range of 20% to 100% of scale reading, Pro-Test meets or exceeds the requirements of Class 1 of BS 7882:1997.
The Pro-Test is versatile enough to meet any testing requirements.
A single display unit can be used with up to three separate transducers to test tools in the ranges 2 - 40 N.m, 20 - 400 N.m or 30 - 1500 N.m.
The large backlit display is easy to read in any light conditions, and a range of languages and torque units can be selected.
Three easy to use operating modes are available, making Pro-Test suitable for all types of torque wrench.
"Track" displays the live value of the torque reading, "First Peak Memory" records the first torque peak (for click-type wrenches) and "Peak Memory" records the highest torque value.
Both memory modes can be used with manual or automatic reset.
The units are housed in robust aluminium cases and, because there is the option of a special 12 Volt DC power supply, Pro-Test can even be mounted in a vehicle and used to calibrate wrenches in the field.
Proof of the accuracy, robustness and all-round performance of Norbar torque calibration equipment is that it is used by armed forces in many countries around the world, including the UK, France, Germany, Finland, Norway, Australia, Switzerland and Italy.
No other torque testing system offers all these features and UKAS certification at a comparable price, making the Pro-Test unbeatable value for money.

It was one of the first companies to enter the field of electronic torque measurement over 30 years ago.
