Norbar Torque Tools has added a wealth of technical background information to its latest products and services catalogue, making it even more useful to engineers.

As well as a comprehensive product listing, it includes informative discussions of torque and its measurement, and the importance of calibration.
Lavishly illustrated with photos and cutaway diagrams of tools and equipment, the full colour publication is intended for both distributors and end users, and is worthy of a space on any engineer's bookshelf.
Its opening pages include sections that describe in detail the theory of torque and its relationship to bolt tension and friction.
Even the product pages of the catalogue feature the same sumptuous attention to detail, with exploded drawings of torque tools and clear explanations of the advantages of each type of tool, so engineers can choose the right tool for the job.

The new catalogue, which brings together four earlier publications, also includes details of two new ranges from Norbar: the harsh environment range of torque measurement products rated to IP65/67 and designed for use in the offshore and power generation industries, and the TWL1500 torque wrench loader, for cost-effective calibration and testing of wrenches rated between 1 and 1500Nm.
