The F302 loadcell is a compact button loadcell with the simple advantage of having universal fixings, tapped and clearance holes, enabling location fixing from above or below the loadcell

Novatech Measurements' new F301 and F302 loadcells illustrate their commitment to the diverse field of force measurement The slim line pencil form of the F301 loadcell rated at just 1N and 3N has attracted two unusual applications already - fluid jet reaction forces and human skin rheology (for those worried about wrinkles!)

The F302 loadcell, rated at 10 kN, 25 kN and 50 kN, is a very compact button loadcell with the simple advantage over other similar designs of having universal fixings, tapped and clearance holes, enabling location fixing from above or below the loadcell as standard.

Other news from Novatech includes F202/F203 loadcell improvements: due to customer demand the F202 and F203 donut loadcells are now fitted with stainless steel cases as standard, with no price increase.

In addition, the F254 now has an additional 2.5 tonne rating: since its launch, the F254 loadcell, 5 to 20 tonne range, has been proving particularly successful for use in vehicle crash test rigs; a need for a 2.5 tonne version has been met with very pleasing results.

The performance of the 2.5 tonne version is proving to be twice as good as the published datasheet figures.

Following production of 30 off units all meeting this performance criteria, Novatech will be re-issuing the datasheet to reflect the enhanced specifications.
