Noliac 60V piezo actuators available from stock

A Noliac product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Nov 25, 2008

Noliac has announced that its standard 60V piezo actuators of 3 x 3 x 2mm and 5 x 5 x 2mm are readily available from stock.

The company said the components may be stacked, granting users free displacement up to 56um.

Noliac Motion's ceramic multilayer actuator plates (CMAP) are typically used when a low displacement at high force is required.

Noliac CMAPs are cofired monolithic piezoelectric low voltage actuators that convert an electrical input to a very high-resolution linear movement at high force.

The CMAPs are manufactured with ceramic layer thickness down to 20um as standard in order to allow very low operating voltage for full performance of the piezo material.

Noliac CMAPs are mostly made to customer specifications, but a range of parts is available from stock.

Noliac's standard 60V piezo actuators feature higher strain per applied voltage and low operating voltage.

Therefore 60V piezo components may be used in many applications, such as medical equipment, micro and nano positioning or instrumentation.

Noliac offers 100 per cent final inspection on capacitance, free displacement, blocking force, and so on.

It also offers visual inspection and burn-in test.
