NPL Technologies recently completed a project which was a major breakthrough in producing jigs and fixtures for the UK and European rail industry.
At the same time it has announced that it is taking over the office and production facilities of a recently vacated unit which is conveniently located adjacent to NPL on the same industrial estate.
This will provide an additional 600m2 of office and manufacturing space as well as 20 more car parking spaces.
Tony Lowe, joint managing director, NPL Technologies, said: "We need to support our ever expanding business and are investing in new, additional, confidential vehicle studio facilities and more inspection machines".
Other recent investment in expansion included two purpose-built, confidential, climate-controlled studios following NPL's highly successful contract for the life size master checking fixture for the BMW Mini.
Today NPL Technologies works with major names such as Land Rover and BMW, three of the leading Formula I teams, has expanded its business into Europe and has plans for North America.
