Noran Engineering is set to release the second in its webinar series that focuses on the use of finite element analysis (FEA) and simulation software at the CAD stage.
This instalment, entitled "Composite analysis", is scheduled for 1900 BST on Wednesday 16th April 2008, and will cover construction of finite element models with orthotropic materials, obtaining structural analysis solutions and the use of various tools for displaying results (in particular, visual imagery that can pinpoint problem areas down to specific plies).
NEiFusion, Noran Engineering's Nastran based FEA software, will be used to illustrate key requirements of design stage simulation - ease of use with familiar CAD environment tools, associativity of CAD and FEA data for tradeoff studies, design validation capabilities, and results sharing between designers and analysts.
