The new HBG 20 handheld control terminal has been developed with operators of robotic and other automated production facilities very much in mind.

Small (with external dimensions of 250 x 90 x 90mm), convenient, robust, easy to operate and technically flexible, the HBG 20 can be used to set up and operate multi-axis machine tool or assembly lines.

The new control terminal is fully compatible with standard CNC, robotic or PLC controls via a binary interface or, in the case of the HBG 20-DP model, via a Profibus-DP connection.

All versions are equipped with six function keys, including direction and speed controls, plus the option for three soft keys which can be assigned machine-specific functions.

Every variant also has a three-stage consent or "confirmation" key, plus an emergency off switch.

Customer-specific versions are available and additional options include a hand-wheel to initiate axial movements, an axis-selector switch for up to five axial positions and rapid motion switch which increases the process speed.

Designed for optimum temperature performance from 0 to 70C, the HBG 20 has a 3.5m connector cable and a magnetic-case fixing system for maximum convenience and usability in the workplace.
