The advanced BGE 27 is a completely new electronic encoder series equipped with magnetic indexing and electronic impulse generation for setting digital data.

Designed primarily for menu selection functions, the BGE 27 is especially suited to applications in measuring instruments used in medical equipment and CNC machines.

At the output of the BGE 27 electronic encoders, 2 x 32 rectangular impulses per output and rotation are available, and the 90-degree phased outputs enable the control system to recognise the direction required for the output signal.

Magnetic indexing, plus the encoders' high-grade double bearing, ensures maximum wear-resistance while glass-fibre-reinforced housings and a bearing cover made from nickel-plated steel provide maximum durability in the harshest operating environments.

In fact, the encoders are designed for operation in a wide range of temperature ranges, up to a maximum 70C, and for a lifetime service of 2 million rotations.

The encoders are compactly constructed, with a diameter of just 27mm and an overall length of 61mm, including the shaft.
