Guide gives background to bearings in
steel making
A new twelve page publication highlights the role played by NSK's range of bearings in all areas of steel making, including casting, rolling, finishing, raw material handling and iron making
"Bearings For Iron and Steelworks", a new twelve page publication from NSK highlights the comprehensive and strategic role played by NSK's range of bearings in all areas of steel making, including casting, rolling, finishing, raw material handling and iron making NSK's production of the new publication is a response to the continuous pressures to reduce maintenance costs within the steel industry, and is also a recognition that the operating conditions of bearings used in the production of steel are among the toughest encountered anywhere

Comprehensive bearing selection guide from NSK-RHP
The precision bearing specification and selection guide from NSK-RHP is one of the most comprehensive available.
As a major supplier of rolling element bearings to the industry, NSK has studied these operating conditions and through an extensive research programme has made improvements in bearing materials, lubrication and sealing technology.
The new publication outlines products which are the result of these improvements; technological advances that make failures in the continuous production cycle that much more unlikely.
The products include NSK's new Extra Capacity Roll Neck Bearings, a new design that delivers up to 34% extra load capacity and longer life under severe lubrication conditions, and the "next generation" EA Series spherical roller bearing.

Farm Force presses rely on Self-Lube bearings
RHP's Self-Lube bearings are providing the high degrees of reliability and life demanded by Farm Force on its range of cultivator presses.
Power transmission components for demanding users
Spacea bearings, ball screws and linear guides provide performance and reliability even in super-clean, vacuum, nonmagnetic, corrosive, high/low temperature, nuclear and high speed uses.
The unique design of the EA series, accommodating a greater number of larger rollers, means that these bearings have load capacities that exceed those of the conventional bearings by between 10 to 20%.
They also have operational lives some 30% to 80% higher.
Roll neck bearings make use of NSK's innovative Super-TF material, a new steel that has been developed to greatly improve the life of bearings, even in the presence of contaminated lubricant - a common condition in steel making.
In comparison with bearings made of conventional carburised steel, Super-TF bearings offer up to 10 times the operating life under contaminated lubrication conditions and approximately 5.5 times operating under boundary lubrication condition.
The twelve pages of the new publication are presented in a particularly informative format, employing graphics almost exclusively, not only to highlight the features of bearing products, but also to provide cutaway sections of products and graphs of performance, service life and durability.
The fold out, easy-to-use format also includes a full colour schematic of a continuous casting process.
At each stage of the process the NSK bearing product or products, that have been developed to provide improved operation in that area, are depicted. Request a free brochure from NSK UK ...
