At MACH 2004, Leicester based Newall Measurement Systems will be focusing on the debut of the company's absolute scale encoders For the first time, the new digital version of the absolute Spherosyn linear encoder will be on display to the global machine tool industry, connected up with the recently announced approved interface to a Fanuc controller

Absolute encoders from Newall are accurate, wear free and require no maintenance.

Combining inductive technology and Hall-effect sensors, the linear encoders can travel maximum lengths of either 9.25 or 27.75m without repeat, however this is being currently restricted to 3.7m for marketing purposes.

The core technology, an onboard digital signal processor (DSP), allows flexibility in transmission output in accordance with a variety of industry protocols, and can be read by a PC without an interface card.

To accompany the Spherosyn and Microsyn encoders, Newall will be exhibiting the entire range of digital readout systems. Request a free brochure from Newall Measurement Systems ...
