Encoders take centre stage
At MACH 2004, Leicester based Newall Measurement Systems will be focusing on the debut of the company's absolute scale encoders.
The range includes the SHG (stainless steel) and MHG (carbon fibre and stainless steel) digital linear encoders and MAG (magnetic tape) encoders.
Absolute encoders from Newall are accurate, wear free and require no maintenance.
Combining inductive technology and Hall effect sensors, the linear encoders can travel maximum lengths of either 30m (incremental encoders only) or 9.25m (absolute encoders) without repeat, currently restricted to 6.5m in absolute for marketing purposes.
The core technology, an onboard digital signal processor (DSP), allows flexibility in transmission output in accordance with a variety of industry protocols, and can be read by a PC without an interface card. Request a free brochure from Newall Measurement Systems ...
