Selecting the proper control cable lubricant can be tricky given the variety of materials, designs, routing requirements, loads, temperatures and duty cycles.

Selecting the proper control cable lubricant can be tricky given the variety of materials, designs, routing requirements, loads, temperatures and duty cycles.

Tight cable routing and heavy loads make the selection of the right cable lubricant all the more critical.

Nye has custom formulated greases for a variety of control cable applications, primarily for the automotive industry.

Nye offers greases for mechanical systems that use cables, pulleys, tracks and guides.

Many are rust-inhibited for protection of metal rail systems.

Nye also offer greases for push-pull control cables.

They feature uniquely formulated materials which provide excellent cable wetting, very low friction and load carrying capability.

Greases have also been formulated to introduce various levels of damping which can be helpful when trying to reduce mechanical vibration and noise in the cable assembly.

Damping can also deliver a preferred "quality" feel.

Occasionally certain designs require a unique degree of efficiency or must operate well below freezing or at temperatures above +200C.

Nye's "flea power" and wide-temperature greases are intended for these applications.
