Protective covers for electric motors will not only prevent damage but will prolong the life of the motor by improving the cooling effect of the air passing along the fins Laurilan electric motor covers have been used in the paper industry for many years and have reduced the motor failure rate by protecting them from damage by water, plus pulp and other debris blocking the cooling fins

Reduced operating temperatures mean that bearing failures through overheating are less frequent.

The glass-fibre-moulded covers, for horizontal or vertically mounted motors, can also be used for protection against the sun for externally installed motors.
