Cost-effective alternative in rapid prototyping
The compact, accurate and cost-effective Eden260 is the latest in Objet's line of rapid prototyping (RP) systems, joining the innovative Eden family of PolyJet technology-based products.
Objet has recently sold RP systems to Norway-based Vinn Design (formerly FEM Design), which develops and designs products for the electronics, tele-satellite communications, medical and engineering industries.
Says Vinn Design's Director of Marketing Rolf-Atle Tomassen: "We invested in the Objet machine because it will let us produce prototypes in every stage of our product-development process, quickly, cost effectively and accurately.
For Vinn Design, this ability is strategically important, as it forms part of our time-to-market philosophy in bringing products to market faster than our competitors".
Nordic Light, which designs and manufactures high-performance, energy-efficient display lighting fixtures, has also purchased an Objet system because it will speed product development and shorten their time-to-market.
Says Dror Danai, VP Marketing and Business Development, Objet Geometries: "Scandinavia - which includes Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland - represents an excellent potential market for Objet's RP systems, since there are many medium to small factories and manufacturers as well as large corporations, which need to have superior inkjet technologies to produce accurate models quickly and reliably.
We are pleased with Acma's involvement in selling our machines, and look forward to partner with this well established company".
