Owens Corning has named Ron Ranallo, 46, Vice President and Corporate Controller.

Owens Corning has named Ron Ranallo, 46, Vice President and Corporate Controller.

Ranallo replaces Roy Dean who was recently elected President, Insulating Systems Business.

In his new position, Ranallo will play a crucial role in establishing and achieving the overall financial goals of the company.

He will report to Mike Thaman, Chairman and Chief Financial Officer.

"We are thrilled to promote a talent of Ron's calibre", said Thaman.

"I am confident in his ability to lead our commitment to integrity and transparency in our financial reporting".

"In addition, he will play a key role in building the talent of our finance organisation to support the continued growth of our company".

Ranallo has held numerous management positions in finance and sourcing since joining Owens Corning in 1999.

He was previously vice president and acting general manager of Owens Corning Construction Services.

He has nearly 20 years of experience in finance, including serving as controller for two separate Owens Corning businesses.

Ranallo joined Owens Corning from the Eaton Corporation where he was Vice President of Audit and Internal Consulting.

He received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Ohio University and has an MBA degree from Bowling Green State University.
