Cosel reduces DC/DC convertor thickness

A Cosel Europe product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jan 12, 2009

By mounting the coplanar processor inside the board instead of on it, Cosel's SFS range of DC/DC convertors has been reduced from 8mm thick to 4mm, in the SFLS series.

The new geometry also keeps radiated emissions closer to the board, thereby reducing noise.

Matthew Paines, sales manager at Cosel UK, said: 'With overvoltage and overcurrent protection, and an operating range from -40C to +85C, the SFLS is preferred choice for high-stress telecoms applications.' A five-year warranty is offered as standard.
