ODU unveils space saving contact connectors

An ODU product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 5, 2008

ODU has introduced thermal contact connectors that they say can provide up to 90 per cent space saving over conventional products.

The thermal contact can be supplied in nickel-chromium/nickel to connect to temperature probes, measuring leads and evaluation devices and can be fitted in the company's Mini-Snap circular connector housing with push-pull locking.

It can be supplied to protection class IP 68 and connect up to nine thermal elements in a single connector.

The metal housing means it will not suffer accidental disconnection because of its push-pull locking system and will be useable for more than 5000 mating cycles.
