According to Omega Engineering, the EIS iServer is the simplest, easiest, most economical way to connect serial devices to an Ethernet network and the Internet.

The iServer connects up to 32 serial devices and handles RS232, RS422 and RS485 communications including Modbus.

When users type its name in a web browser, it serves web pages that let them quickly and easily configure any device, such as PLCs, panel instrumentation or even vending machines without any special software.

Getting started with the iServer is very easy because it can take a dynamically assigned IP address from a DHCP server on the network.

This DHCP client capability is a unique feature of the Omega iServer that makes it extremely simple to start using this device on almost any Ethernet network.

The iServer is available in rack and wall mounting versions with a five year extended warranty.

Omega also offers printed circuit board-level products that OEMs can incorporate in their products to add embedded Ethernet/internet connectivity to devices with existing RS232.
