OEM Automatic has launched stainless-steel versions of two of the popular Mechan noncontact safety switches.

OEM Automatic has launched stainless-steel versions of two of the popular Mechan noncontact safety switches.

These robust IP67 devices have cases cast from 316 grade stainless steel and are fitted with a 3m flying lead and protection grommet as standard.

The housing is only 52 x 28 x 14mm and is available in two product ranges: Magnasafe and Isis.

The Magnasafe is a magnetically operated switch with two normally open safety contacts and one normally closed auxiliary.

The Isis is a range of coded, dynamically monitored switches.

Connection to either the two- or four-gate controller allows simple category 4 compliance.

The two-wire switch heads are dynamically monitored at all times and faults are detected immediately rather than at the next operation of the door.

The multigate connection eliminates the problems of masking faults that can occur when a number of switches are daisychained.

New quick disconnect versions are available for the Magnasafe range offering reduced downtimes should replacement be necessary.
