STM offers a complete range of optical frame sensors designed for all different types of counting and product detection applications.

The STM frame sensor can be used to solve a wide range of sensing applications ranging from simple ejection control to manual counting.

The frames range from 40 to 400mm square, with other size configurations available.

The light lattice is built up of a multitude of miniature through-beam sensors.

These light beams are so closely spaced together that even very small objects cannot pass through the frame without triggering at least one of the sensors.

The entire area enclosed by the frame is uniformly active so there is no dead zone.

All the individual through beam sensors are electronically coupled to each other so that each object only triggers one signal, which can then be further processed.
