Reer has launched its new Pharo type 3 safety laser scanner.

The Pharo laser scanner is an electosensitive device designed to protect workers from the risks arising from the use of hazardous machines and automated guidance vehicles.

If the controlled plane is installed in a vertical position even very large access points can be protected.

Hands, arms or whole body can be detected depending on the chosen resolution.

The Pharo can also be used for the measurement of data from the surrounding environment for object profile position and dimension measurement.

The advantages of the Pharo laser scanner are many, including: no receiving and/or reflecting elements; simple programming of differently shaped control areas; monitoring and protection of large areas; can be used on moving vehicles; fast and reliable installation.
