At just 1.4kg the Puls X series power supply unit is dramatically lighter than a typical transformer equivalent, which can weigh as much as 26kg.

The X series of power supplies from Puls employs a new concept for generating a DC voltage from a three-phase input.

At just 1.4kg the unit is dramatically lighter than a typical transformer equivalentm which can weigh as much as 26kg.

It can provide 960W of continuous output power with an additional 25% power reserve for dynamic loads and is easily mounted directly on to DIN rail.

A semi-regulated resonant convertor enables this highly efficient, compact design.

The only compromise is with output voltage regulation, but this only occurs when the input voltage exceeds upper and lower limits as defined by IEC60038.

Typical applications include supplying motors, valves and other load circuits with high power demands but where accurate output voltage regulation is not essential.

In these cases the X series offers an excellent alternative to transformers at a lower cost with additional savings made through greatly reduced installation/transportation costs, lower energy costs and simplified ventilation requirements.
