Temperature sensor features USB interface

An OEM Automatic product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 17, 2007

A USB interface allows the user of a PT temperature sensor to program it quickly and easily.

The PT compact temperature sensor from Tecsis is the first resistance thermometer in the world to be fitted with a USB interface.

The interface allows the user to quickly and easily program the required measuring range using the operating system.

All that's required is a PC with a USB port.

Programming is accomplished by removing the measuring unit from the housing and connecting the USB cable.

The housing remains in place so that the process is not interrupted.

Two versions are available.

The standard range covers a -50 to 200C range, while a high-temperature model covers -50 to 600C (with a stem extension).

The sensor has a stainless steel 316Ti housing.

A range of stem lengths and diameters are available.

It also features improved electronics with an accuracy of 0.2% of the set measurement.

Applications include process monitoring, heating and cooling circuits, air conditioning and environment engineering.
