Omicron Electronics now offers the world's lightest micro-ohmmeter with a weight of only 7.5kg.

Omicron Electronics now offers the world's lightest micro-ohmmeter with a weight of only 7.5kg.

The CPM 500 is a completely electronic device that can be used for all micro-ohmmeter applications from 10 to 500A, including resistances of circuit breakers, disconnecting switches, high current busbar joints, cable splices, welding joints, or grounding connections.

The robust design makes the unit ideal for its use in high voltage substations and industrial environments.

The straightforward operation saves time both in training and actual testing.

Once the test current has been set, the automatic test procedure can be started by pressing the ohm button.

The test result is displayed as R=V/I.

The CPM 500 uses advanced switch mode technology and generates true DC current with a stabilised output independent of the mains voltage.

Automatic ramps eliminate magnetic transients.

Up to 100 measurement results can be saved in the internal memory.

All measurements are marked with the testing time and date.

A remote control unit with built-in sense connection allows multiple measurements of the resistance directly at the test object.

There is an indicator which shows when the test is running and confirms whether the test result is acceptable.

Sense cables can directly be connected to it.

The sense cables can be connected to either the remove control unit or the CPM 500.
