Filter protects downstream instrumentation

A Bio-Chem Valve and Omnifit product story

An innovative all-PTFE inline filter developed by Omnifit provides a highly inert flow path that protects instrumentation equipment by trapping particulate matter.

An innovative all-PTFE inline filter developed by Omnifit provides a highly inert flow path that protects instrumentation equipment by trapping particulate matter.

The filter has a replaceable element and is designed to remove particulates from fluids that could otherwise cause damage to pumps, valves and other liquid handling components of laboratory instrumentation.

Unfiltered particulate matter can grind against components, causing premature wear, misalignment, deformation, fluid leakage and subsequent equipment failure.

Several connection options provide flexibility to instrument designers, including 0.25in to 28 UNF thread or a 1.6mm barbed version for softwall tubing.

Replacing the filter is easy, with PTFE elements available in a choice of 25, 40 and 100um porosities.
