Use of RAILTEC allows OEM users to design and enclose their electronic or electrical assemblies and fast-lock them on to DIN-rail

OKW Enclosures has developed a special case system specifically intended for the enclosure of electronic assemblies that are to be fast-locked on to DIN-rails RAILTEC is the name of a new system of special cases by OKW Enclosures of Fareham

Use of RAILTEC allows OEM users to design and enclose their electronic or electrical assemblies and fast-lock them on to DIN-rail.

As such, RAILTEC products are generically termed installation cases.

Assembly on to the rail is simple and quick.

Just snap the cases on to the rail (DIN EN 50 022).

The cases consist of two basic parts: a base section and a top section.

The base section carries the mounting points while the top section comes in three options that accept a variety of termination styles from different manufacturers.

These variants PCB plug headers and front connectors.

Access to the terminals is very easy and electrical connection and disconnection can be carried out without removal of the top section.

Front connection is possible too.

In addition to the base and top sections, there is a transparent lid with integral locking clip.

This protects the internal electronics and display.

The cases are supplied as standard in PPO (UL94 V-0) for the base section, and polycarbonate for the top section and lid.

The colours are black for the bases and light grey for the tops.

RAILTEC comes in four sizes, conforming to DIN-43 880, unit 1 and a wide range of assembly configurations is possible.

The cases are fully insulated, and are protected to VBG4 and to IEC 529/DIN VDE 0470-1.
