Billed by Rolec as ground breaking, Starcase enclosures are designed for faster and more convenient installation and servicing.

Billed by Rolec as ground breaking, Starcase enclosures are designed for faster and more convenient installation and servicing.

Typical applications will include electronics and electrical systems such as heating and air conditioning controllers, monitoring systems, safety and security equipment and test and measurement devices.

Starcases are particularly suitable for industrial electronic systems and have many unique design features.

For example, two hinged trims, on either end of the case, hide the case fixings screws and wall mounting shafts.

As a result, no visible fixings can be seen once the unit is on the wall.

The cases are moulded in flame retardant ABS rated to UL94V0.

The standard colour is light grey RAL7035, and uniquely for this type of enclosure, the cases have a modern fine textured surface finish.

Starcases are sealed to IP66 for indoor and outdoor use, and the moulded gasket can be easily replaced during long term maintenance.

They are also fully insulated to VDE0100.

Five standard sizes are offered from 120 x 90 x 50 to 280 x 170 x 60mm.

The cases are assembled by four rustproof stainless steel fixing screws which are positioned outside of the sealed interior.

An optional key lock can also be fitted for tamperproof security.

To aid installation and servicing, two plastic lid supports (simple hinges) are provided with each case, and the wall fixing dimensions are moulded onto the underside.

Internal screw pillars are moulded in the top and base parts for mounting PCBs, DIN rails, displays etc.
