Case system intended for fast-locking to DIN rails
Use of RAILTEC allows OEM users to design and enclose their electronic or electrical assemblies and fast-lock them on to DIN-rail
Four sizes of DIN-rail cases from OKW
OKW Enclosures of Fareham has developed a special case system called Railtec specifically intended for the enclosure of electronic assemblies that are to be fast-locked on to DIN-rails.
These 'body-hugging' enclosures are ideal for medical and mobile instrumentation.
In addition to the existing eyelet and belt/arm strap accessories, and following customer demand, OKW have introduced simple, tough and low cost and belt/pocket clips which can be easily mounted onto the Ergo-Case types 'S' and 'M'.
Ergo-CaseS are moulded in ABS (UL 94 HB).
The standard colours are off-white RAL 9002 or black RAL 9005.
The top and base parts clip together and are secured by two self-tapping screws.
The base part includes an access plate and aperture, into which can be fitted three types of battery cradle for 4 x 1.5V AA, 1 x 9V or 2 x 9V cells.
The cases can be sealed to IP 54 for outdoor use, and have a recess in the top for mounting membrane keypads.
The front end is ideal for fitting cables for probes or sensors.
Internal pillars provide mounting for PCB's.
Ergo-CaseS are available in six standard sizes with external dimensions ranging from 80 x 96 x 32mm to 150 x 200 x 69mm.
Volume prices start at GBP6.50.
OKW also offers a full customising service on these enclosures with milling, silk-screen printing and much more, providing a fully finished housing ready for mounting the electronic components.
